A project works on one software developer's machine, then breaks as soon as someone else tries to run it. Fabian Hee has dealt with that problem more than once. On Saturday, 22 August, Fabian will share how recurring setup problems at work led him to Dev Containers. He will explain what they are, where they have helped his team, and where they can create problems of their own. He will also run through a short demo and show a few ways he uses Dev Containers in his own work. The session is based on his experience, so expect an honest look at the tradeoffs rather than a step-by-step training course. New to Dev Containers? You are welcome to join. The talk should also be useful if you already spend too much time getting projects to behave across different machines.
